We're a jazz band (trio or quartet) providing music and entertainment for weddings, corporate events, and other celebrations, as well as the occasional show, concert or music festival.
Founded in 1996, Key West Jazz is made up of well known and liked professional musicians.
We're up for anything, but play mostly traditional jazz (Sinatra, traditional, blues, Latin jazz) and some other blended music genres.

A typical wedding reception gig might go like this (you could substitute any similar jazz tune for the ones listed) . . . but, we're flexible and can play any jazz tunes and just about any other tune or style.

Key West Jazz is made up of seasoned, established, professional, capable musicians from the Lawrence, Topeka, and Kansas City Metro areas. The band is available as a trio or quartet.
Founded by John Childers (saxophone) and Steve Westphal (drums) in 1996, the core group also includes Ken Lovern on Hammond B3 and Brian Baggett on guitar. Many other musicians sub-in with the band, including Paul Miller or Richard Walker on Bass, Rick Bruner or Devin Heath on drums, and Harry Miller on keyboards.
We play local clubs, weddings, corporate parties and events, shows, festivals, and concerts in the Kansas City, Lawrence, and Topeka Metropolitan areas.
