About

Kely Pinheiro is a Brazilian multi-instrumentalist and arranger based in New York. A classically trained cellist, Kely grew up in a music-loving family that encouraged her to explore a variety of musical styles. She has performed in concerts since she was 12 years old, participating in projects and festivals at home in Brazil and internationally.

Kely moved to the U.S. after receiving a full scholarship from Berklee College of Music, where she majored in cello. She graduated magna cum laude from Berklee. She was also a recipient of the Boston Council’s Opportunity Fund Grant 2022 as a member of the Nebulous Quartet.

An internationally renowned performer, Kely has toured with top musicians around the world. Among her many performances are a tour of Germany performing Brazilian music with Rio's popular string orchestra Camerata Laranjeiras. She has also toured with Norwegian singer Astrid S., which led to Kely being noticed by Norway's largest newspaper, Aftenposten. She continues to actively tour and participate in national and international festivals, collaborating with multiple artists as well as working solo featuring her cello and voice.

Additional booking notes

My performance usually requires amplification, so the cello as well as my voice can be clearly heard by the audience. My equipment may vary depending on the space I'll be performing, but a lot of times, I use:

Armless Chair
Mic Stand
Vocal Mic
Small Mixer
PA System
Pedalboard/DI/PreAmp

Let's talk and see how much of the stuff in this list I'd have to bring to your event. Most cases, event spaces already have these things or I share the same equipment with the hired DJ (if there is one).
