Amazing!

Kate is truly an entertainer. She performed for us during the Canadian Music Week trade show as a living doll and completely stunned the attendees. Her moves were impeccable, and she made us laugh so much that our faces hurt! Her performance was just one of the many incredible acts she's mastered. She was hilarious, personable, and accommodating. I recommend Kate for any and all events. We will definitely hire her again!

What to expect

Kate performs traditional corporeal mime choreography; you won't find any striped-shirt pantomime acts here! Kate's installation acts include a uniquely interactive and engaging music-box wind-up ballerina robot, a saucy living-statue and stage take on Marie Antoinette (complete with cake-eating and machete juggling!), static statue art, a roving portrait that balances a picture frame on her chin and object manipulation of various objects including a giant umbrella. Kate performs anything from roving entertainment to feature acts and can tailor-make work to suit your event. She is an engaging and dynamic performer with impressive costumes and skill and would be an incredible addition to make your event shine and be the talk of the town!

About

Combining engaging performance with elaborate self-made costumes, Kate Mior produces visually stunning creative-movement based living art and corporeal mime; from street theatre installations to art-house theatre shows and bawdy vaudeville, she performs with professional circuses in shows and tours as a solo performer in the world of buskerfests. From Singapore to Sierra Leone, Canada to the UK, Kate charms her way across the globe.

Kate Mior began studying mime technique in the Decroux Method under the tutelage of Dr. Giuseppe Condello in Toronto, Canada, upon an explosive break-out in Canada's street festival scene while completing her Film Studies degree at Ryerson University, with a specialization in animation. Kate has performed with circuses globally including Flam Chen Pyrotechnic Circus (Tucson, AZ), Toronto's Zero Gravity Circus and is currently collaborating with the Hectic Brothers Circus, who are based out of Australia. Kate is honoured to be an expected and regular performer at Scotiabank Toronto Buskerfest since 2006.
