Overview
A jazz and contemporary singer specializing in corporate events, private events, and weddings. I feel humbled to be able to use song to move a crowd to feel inspired, relaxed, in love, or excited. I also understand that planning a memorable event can be a bit stressful, and so I work to ensure that having a memorable and engaging vocalist is one less thing to worry about. Whenever someone asks me to sing, I sing with a lot of passion--- it is my objective to make sure each person in the crowd has pure, beautiful tones wash over them as they mingle or dance. With sultry ballads, jazz classics, or contemporary crowd-pleasers, I deliver a performance that will enchant your guests.

I had the pleasure of having Joy sing at my wedding a couple weeks ago. She did an amazing job!!! She has the voice of an angel. She was very easy to work with and her price was more than fair. I'm glad I was able to contribute to her ministry. I would definitely work with her again. She is very professional and sings beautifully.

Joy made an amazing performance singing at the 9/11 event in Amelia Earhart Park. After listening to her sing there was a great peace and silence within the crowd of volunteers. Joy is a great professional and I would recommend her for future presentations.

I have heard Joy sing on several different occasions and in front of audiences as intimate as three and as large as a couple hundred. She has a captivating stage presence and is a thrill to watch perform. When she opens her mouth, her voice makes you forget about everything going on around you. Her ballads are powerful, smooth, and filled with emotion. Her upbeat songs are fun and you just want to sing along as well. She truly has a gift and is a better vocalist than most of what you'll hear on the radio today.

She has an absolutely beautiful voice that exudes passion and talent. Few ladies are able to sing with her style and grace and I would definitely have her perform at another event on my behalf. I have seen her perform in a variety of venues from intimate jazz centers to an event with a crowd of over 1,000 people. Both times she was utterly professional and comfortably in all settings. She is truly versatile and would be a wonderful addition to any event that you are thinking of hosting. I highly recommend her for any event where you want a soulful voice capable of singing jazz, r&b, and several other genres.

What to expect
I take specific song requests from you or have you choose from a song list. If you are unsure of what song(s) you would like to feature at your event, I can help you choose selections appropriate for your event and audience. I provide instrumental tracks. Can perform one song or a whole set list. I ask that you provide me with a sound system, microphone, and a point person who is well-versed/trained in working with sound system equipment (such as a DJ) who I can speak with prior to and throughout the event. I will also need to rehearse briefly with this point person before the event (usually no more than 30 mins simply to work out sound system kinks and go over the set list). I am not a technical person. I provide the voice and the track. When you book an appointment with me, I reserve my whole day prior to the event for you, so I will show up as early as you'd like for me to.
I am most suited for upscale events, business events, or anniversaries/weddings. Your guests can expect sultry, soothing, smooth sounds on ballads and bright, exciting vocal movements on up-tempo songs. I perform my original take on classic or contemporary favorites of your choice. I sing with much passion and my objective is to enchant the audience. Sophisticated cocktail or formal wear in colors that do not distract from the music is my typical attire (unless otherwise requested).
