January 11, 2025I am late posting this review, but we had a great experience with Jory Avner this past summer. He came up to us in West MI and put on a great show dispite HOT HOT temps and in direct sunshine! We were so thrilled with his performance, he even learned a new song for the birthday girl!

September 12, 2024From the start, communication was great with Jory and he showed up early to setup. He is a pure professional. Sound and songs were amazing and his tone was perfect for our party. Jory is a great guitar player and singer, and I loved the mix in of his harmonica. Towards the end of the party, the herd thinned out quite a bit as the older folks had to get on home. Jory stayed and took requests from us and his renditions blew us away. If you need to book a musician, look no further. Jory has the sound and you will glad that you booked him. I could not have been any happier. He was the finishing touch to a great 60th birthday party. He will definitely be hired by us again, without a doubt.

Chicago-based singer-songwriter Jory Avner has been writing and performing music for over ten years, released three albums and headlined shows all across the United States and Canada. His music blends highly stylized lyricism and guitar with synth/rock soundscapes, creating an atmosphere that is deeply textured, thought-provoking, introspective, and yet succinct in terms of narratives.

His third studio album, 'Far and Away,' was released March 9th, 2018 with live performances on Radio DePaul, WZRD 88.3FM Chicago, and WRSE 88.7FM The Underbelly Hours. Jory has also been a featured artist in the Lagunitas Songwriting Showcase as well as a finalist in the Uncommon Ground Songwriting Competition several years in a row.
Currently, Jory performs all over the Greater Chicago area and live streams weekly on Twitch ((link hidden)). He is working on his fourth studio album alongside multi-platinum producer, Dean Dichoso (Candlebox, Fefe Dobson, American Idol, Netflix), with the current single 'Plaything' released on September 16th, 2022.
