Hello! I'm a stand-up comedian with a decade of experience and appearances on Just for Laughs, the Winnipeg and Halifax Comedy Festivals, and I'm a regular on CBC's The Debaters. I've performed at many corporate gigs in the past, and am happy to tailor something to your needs, clean or otherwise! I'm also experienced doing Zoom/streaming shows, and would be happy to set something up online if that's what you need.
I'm a teacher and a semi-professional curler, so I especially love performing for teaching and sports groups!

I am a professional, clean-cut stand-up comedian who is very comfortable performing stand-up comedy for a variety of demographics, with content customized for your needs. Need a clean show? I can do that. Want something a little spicier? I can do that too. I've worked with many corporations, small businesses, government bodies, sporting events, unions, conferences, and other event planners to create memorable evenings for tens of thousands of people. In the COVID world, many of these shows have transitioned online, and I've done pre-taped shows, Zoom shows, virtual podcasts, streamed shows, and everything in between. I have a professional recording setup in my home for my podcast, and so if you book me for a virtual show, you will be getting the highest-quality video and audio from me.
John Cullen is a stand-up comedian, podcaster, and writer from Vancouver, BC. He has been performing stand-up for a decade and has made televised appearances at the Just for Laughs, Halifax, and Winnipeg Comedy Festivals, as well as making regular appearances on CBC Radio’s The Debaters and The Current.
He just released his second comedy album, Long Stories for No Reason, which peaked at #2 on the Canadian iTunes Comedy Charts and #4 in the U.S., and that and his first album, Most Likely to Be a Comedian, can be frequently heard across North America on SiriusXM Radio.
His podcast, Blocked Party, has been downloaded nearly one million times, is one of the top 150 podcasts on Patreon and has been featured on The A.V. Club and Vulture Comedy. As a writer, he has bylines in The Atlantic and Vice Sports. He is also a high school teacher and semi-professional curler, and loves performing for teaching and sports groups, though he genuinely loves performing for anyone.
Rather than type out a long and boring tech specs document here, this is something we can work together to tailor once you book me. I've performed in many different venues and am more than happy to assist you with your technical needs as best as I can.
If we are doing an online show together, I have both an HD webcam (1080p) and the highest-quality audio equipment (ElectroVoice RE20 microphone/Mackie ProFX mixer) to ensure that you'll both hear and see me as clearly as possible.
