Julie Kim is an international touring headliner and one of Canada's top comedians. She has performed at major comedy festivals with multiple televised appearances (the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, Melbourne International Comedy Festival ++). She recently toured across Canada, with multiple sold out shows.
Julie is also a Canadian Screen Award winning producer and writer. Julie worked with Simu Liu (Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as he hosted the Juno Awards two years in a row. She's also written on Kim's Convenience, Run The Burbs and other Canadian shows.
Julie's corporate engagements include comedy, motivational/keynote talks, and event hosting.

March 16, 2023Our event was a great success, in large part to Julie. She can read a room and find fun in every topic. Our attendees loved her quips and I doubt we have had more fun at any other annual meeting. She is prompt, thorough,so personable and gets right into the role. Everyone warmed to her immediately.

November 16, 2022Julie was an incredible asset to our event. We hosted a lunch for our hotel and liquor conference and were looking for a fun way to set the afternoon apart. Hiring Julie to was a no brainer and we are so glad we did! She performed a 20 minute set and tailored her content to our audience. She was absolutely hilarious and was a highlight of the lunch. The venue was a tad noisy and Julie handled it in stride. Professional, easy to connect with, and so so funny - thank you Julie!

Julie Kim is one of Canada’s top stand-up comedians. Julie recently toured across North America doing 40 theatre shows with Ronny Chieng (Crazy Rich Asians, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah). Over the past decade, Julie has performed at such prestigious comedy festivals as Just for Laughs in Montreal, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the Seattle International Comedy Competition. Julie’s online videos have amassed nearly 50 million views.
Julie is also a writer and producer. Julie received three nominations for writing and producing by the Canadian Academy in 2023. Julie has contributed to the writing rooms of Kim’s Convenience, Run the Burbs, and Still Standing. Julie was a producer and writer for Simu Liu (Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) as he hosted the 2022 Juno Awards. She ideated Liu’s now well-known ‘I am Canadian’ monologue, which has gone viral on the Internet and social media.
