May 31, 2026Joey Calfa absolutely rocked our Just A Peace Giftshop's 8th Year on Hope Street event. From the minute he started playing, the crowd that gathered was hooked! He has a unique style, incredible guitar skills, and a powerful, smooth voice. I love how he added his own flair to his songs. He played songs from the 60's to the current! He got the audience singing along with him and literally dancing in the street! It was a successful event, thanks to Joey! We will definitely invite him back to perform at one of our Acoustic Saturdays! He was SOOOO GOOD!

Joey Calfa is a guitarist, ‘ukulelien’, singer-songwriter, and teacher from NYC who has been playing music for over 20 years. He now lives in Stamford, CT where he teaches at Long Ridge Music Center (Stamford,CT), the Rock Shop (Nyack, NY), and is the Program Manager of the non-profit, Especially Everyone. He continues to perform as the guitarist of the Especially Everyone Ensemble, a guitarist for hire, and as a solo musician. Joey has played in many different groups over his career but got his start with the original band Cousin Earth.
With Cousin Earth and Especially Everyone, he has played shows and festivals all over the United States alongside artists such as Melvin Seals & the Jerry Garcia Band, Robert Randolph, Goose, Little Feat, and more.
