Overview
My name is Steve Jordan and I am a guitarist and vocalist from Rockland County, New York. I’ve spent the two decades or so playing music both as a solo artist as well as a member of several bands, duos and collaborative projects. I grew up listening to classic rock, blues, R&B, soul, country, jam bands, and pop music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s. My repertoire incorporates all of these styles which has allowed me to play all types of events, from small backyard gatherings to weddings to large NYC venues (remember large venues?). I am an experienced professional performer with the ability to customize setlist and experiences to fit the event and demographics of people in attendance.

Steve came to a family reunion of about 45 people in our backyard. He was on time, prepared, flexible and just laid back and easy. His voice is soulful, he’s got a great range, and his guitar skills are really amazing! I have been recommending him to others and hope to get invited to another event where he plays!

Steve played for a wedding engagement proposal for me and my now fiancee. He elevated the experience and made the day even more special for the two of us. His guitar playing and signing was perfect for what I was looking for. Steve was very accommodating to the song I requested him to play. I could not have asked for a better musician to book for my proposal. Any one considering booking a guitarist for their event should use Steve!

What to expect
Depending on the type of event, I'l usually arrive 1 hour before the start of the performance to set up and sound check. Generally we will have spoken about the genre and style you wanted to hear mainly and my setlist draws from that conversation. If the event is formal, I'll generally have a setlist prepared and run through it straight unit the end of the event. If the event is more casual, it may involve taking requests and/or changing up the style or genre to fit the mood or audience.

My repertoire incorporates all of these styles which has allowed me to play all types of events, from small backyard gatherings to weddings to large NYC venues (remember large venues?). I am an experienced professional performer with the ability to customize setlist and experiences to fit the event and demographics of people in attendance. I am a founding member of the Grateful Dead Tribute Band “Dead Meat” as well as a frequent collaborator with other musicians in the Nyack and Greater NYC area. I also have an array of musicians on call for duos, trios, larger bands all the way up to full service wedding bands.
