Joe Nedder

From sophisticated jazz standards self accompanied on piano to top-40 hits meant to get a crowd moving, I approach every gig with excitement, positivity, and an open-mind. With every gig, my biggest focus is to serve the client. Whether that means quieter music meant to accompany an ambiance, or louder music meant to get attention, I always make sure I am providing a service my clients are thrilled with.

Joe Nedder is a 22 year-old composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist. In high school, Joe studied at the Rivers School Conservatory, and completed summer programs at the Berklee College of amusic and NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. In 2018, Joe got his professional start serving as a trombonist and vocalist for Boston-based swing band the Beantown Swing Orchestra.

Joe went on to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz Studies from Northwestern University where he composed, arranged, and played lead trombone for the Northwestern University Jazz Orchestra and Jazz Small Ensemble. He also played trombone for several pits at the Wirtz Center for the Performing Arts and composed for a variety of student sitcom pilots and short films.

Joe has worked as a freelance musician, composer, and teacher in the New England, Chicagoland, and Los Angeles areas. He served as a songwriter, trombonist, and lead singer of Chicago based Pop/R&B group Morning Dew while playing and recording for groups such as Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Couch the Band, and the original cast album of Abandon All Hope. He currently works as a composer for White Stork Music, a trombonist and vocalist for the Lucky Devils Band, and was recently selected as the commissioned composer for the 2022 Rivers Jazz Festival.
