Strada Swing

This Los Angeles jazz band brings a classic jazz sound to songs from the Great American Songbook. The band plays swinging standards, intimate ballads, and bossa nova, with a sound that can be intimate or lively and danceable. You can expect to hear classics such as “The Way You Look Tonight” and “The Girl from Ipanema.” The band can be tailored to different settings and instrumentation, with the option to add saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, or accordion. Available as a trio, quartet, quintet, or sextet.

Isabel Smith is a Los Angeles based jazz vocalist in Los Angeles with a love for swing and the Great American Songbook. Her repertoire ranges from swinging standards and bossa nova to French jazz, with a light and playful approach. Varnish Music Director Marc Gasway described her this way: “There’s a lot of magic in Isabel Smith’s voice. She has a lithe, rounded tone... She thinks like an instrumentalist because she is one.”

Isabel has performed at notable venues throughout Los Angeles, including the Cicada Club, Vitello’s Jazz Club, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, The Culver Hotel, The California Club, Pendry West Hollywood, Le Petit Paris, Le Grand Restaurant, Pour Vous, Grand Central Market, and South Coast Botanic Garden. Her band has also held residencies at Le Grand Restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles and Le Petit Paris.​
