Jewelle McKenzie

Montreal-born singer, songwriter, and producer Jewelle McKenzie (pronounced jew-WELL) is an international soul and jazz vocalist recognized for her extraordinary vocal range and commanding stage presence. Performing Soul, Jazz, R&B, Pop, and Gospel with elegance and sophistication, she connects deeply with audiences worldwide — creating emotionally resonant live performances that leave a lasting impression long after the show.

With over 20 years of international performance experience and thousands of live performances worldwide, Jewelle is highly regarded for her consistency, professionalism, and ability to elevate luxury hospitality environments. She has performed extensively across Canada, the United States, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, appearing in some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hotels and casinos.

Jewelle has performed at Montreal’s International Jazz Festival, the West Island Blues Festival, Maximum Blues Festival in Carleton Quebec, the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival, and at the Martin Luther King Achievement Awards. She has performed with international recording artists Dawn Tyler Watson, Michelle Sweeney, Freddie James, Alan Prater, and Kim Richardson, among others. She has had studio recordings with Lexa Productions, Joel Campbell, and Murray Lightburn among others. Her voice can be heard in films for the National Film Board of Canada.

Forming her own band Ad-Lib, Jewelle quickly established a reputation for outstanding performance and excellence, performing at corporate and public events, weddings and festivals. Jewelle has performed for such prestigious clients as the Quebec Parliament, the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, the Quebec Bar Association, Chef Ricardo Larivée, Ginette Reno, the Peak Financial Group, and designer Joseph Ribkoff.

She has opened for Matt Dusk at a Gala event, performed on the television program Belle et Bum, was a featured soloist on the CBC Radio Canada Christmas Special with Florence K, and performed at the Porgy and Bess concert as a member of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra (MSO) choir under the direction of Maestro Kent Nagano. She performs regularly at the Montreal and Mont-Tremblant Casinos. In April 2023 she performed at Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas. In November 2023 she premiered Soulville – The Ultimate Aretha Franklin Tribute, with her 10-piece band, with rave reviews from audiences across Quebec. She continues her passion for Gospel music as a lead vocalist with the Imani Gospel Singers. Jewelle is constantly sharing her passion with the world performing, composing, arranging, and recording.
