A typical set by Jesse Hanson includes some songs that are played exclusively with guitar & singing, some songs that are singing over looped arrangements of stringed instruments, and some songs that are strictly instrumental.

I have played weddings where I have both done solo classical violin (I've been playing for 18 years) to play traditional wedding marches and songs followed by covers of famous love songs/whatever the bride & groom want performed as a singer-songwriter. I have my own small PA system!

Jesse Hanson is an award winning singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from the Greater Boston area now living in Los Angeles. If I'm playing with my looper, I need to have a power source. Otherwise, if I'm just playing solo violin or songs on just guitar & singing, I have a battery-powered amp. I don't require much space.
