For events we can be the center of attention on a stage or simply in the background providing ambience. What is certain is that a fun, uplifting and personal atmosphere will be created no matter what. Our reviews tells that we bring a unique touch to each event which has brought us many returning clients.
We can easily switch up the gear up if noticing that the audience are getting in the mood for dancing. We love to go out and interact with the audience. Anything to make it special.

What services do we offer?
- Instrumentation: For solo or duo act we offer the following instruments: vocals, classical or jazz piano, guitar, saxophone (alto, tenor, soprano) flute, and clarinet.
- Duo: Our typical set-up as a duo include keys or guitar, vocals, saxophone and flute. We use a loop pedal making it possible to play more than two instruments at the same time and thereby create a fuller sound - a popular option for cocktail hour or smaller events.
- For added party vibes we bring our amazing drummer.
- For bigger events we bring a full band of 5-8 instrumentalists.
- DJ + Sax & Vocals - One of our popular offers for weddings and bigger events. This is the closest you get to a live band and a DJ combined as we add vocals and saxophone to max the energy and leveling up the experience.

We understand the importance in providing high quality entertainment and are happy to take song requests and customize our performance to your specific event and vision. From having planned and coordinated our own wedding we know this can be quite intense and are looking to help make the planning less stressful and the event a memory for life!

We have played wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, cocktail hours, jazz brunches, birthday parties, Bollywood parties, baby showers, corporate events, life celebrations/funerals and bar mitzvahs.
In addition to singing in English Lovisa also speaks and sings in French and Swedish upon request.

We are Derrick and Lovisa a married couple with our hearts in music. We believe that stage presence and connecting with the guests during our performance are keys to a memorable/unforgettable event and experience.
Derrick Lightning is a saxophone maestro from the University of Miami whose accolades include performances at Carnegie Hall, Montreaux Jazz Festival, LA's Troubadour global tours, and collaborations with icons like Dave Grohl.

Lovisa Lightning, a graduate from Royal College of Music in Stockholm who has won prices at the Berkeley Jazz Festival - is a versatile vocalist and instrumentalist who masters Jazz, Soul, Pop, Rock and RnB. She boasts collaborations with legends like Toots Thielemans and Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA.

Having graced prestigious venues worldwide, from Montreaux Jazz Festival to LA’s Troubadour, The Mint, Molly Malone and Viper Room they've shared the stage with musical luminaries like George Thorogood and David Sanborn. As band leaders, they've toured the US and Europe. Whether a solo, duo, or full band performance, Derrick and Lovisa are the perfect addition to elevate your event to unparalleled heights!

We provide lights and a PA upon request. We will need to be near where there is power/electricity to perform amplified music
