Jazz Guitarist Roland Gresham

Well dressed, polite, gentle personality. Always on time. Makes sure that music is not too loud.

Jazz guitarist, Roland Gresham is a native of Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up under the influence of his father who was also a jazz guitarist, and had all of Wes Montgomery’s albums. Roland started playing guitar at the age of six with no formal training. By the time he was in high school he could play along with any song heard on the radio. Roland won the talent contest his freshman year in high school. By the age of twenty, Roland was performing for banquets and wedding receptions throughout the United States. During this time Roland discovered the music of George Benson, and quickly became a fan. Shortly after, people started comparing his sound to that of George Benson, a comment often repeated today.

Roland Gresham has recorded several Gospel CDs, two Christmas CDs, and two Smooth-Jazz/R&B CDs entitled, “Pillow Talk,” and “Bedtime Stories;” and a tribute to Michael Jackson entitled, “Memories Of Michael Jackson.” Roland has performed for audiences throughout North America, London, England, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
