I am an energetic and charismatic solo acoustic performer that plays pop classics, rock, reggae/island, soul/R&B, country, and crowd favorites from the 60s to today. I specialize in reading crowds and playing the right music for the room, at the right volume, and producing an all around feel good vibe.
I have different sets for different occasions. I could play for a relaxed atmosphere, or a dance party. Country clubs to backyard pool party.. Wineries, weddings, or nightclubs.. You name it, I can provide the right vibe!
Jay has been playing music since age 8. Starting out on trumpet to follow in the footsteps of his father {Pittsburgh jazz hall of famer, Danny Conn}, he realized his passion was with the drums. The switch to drums also allowed him to gig with his father, who would employ him on many adventurous gigs, playing jazz, weddings, oldies, political fundraisers, and even with a circus band. Jay would also become the drummer for a carribean steelband, a brazillian carnivale band, and various local rock, jazz, and wedding bands, even appearing on America's Got Talent.
It was during the covid lockdowns that Jay decided to switch it up again, and pursue a solo acoustic act, where he could highlight the variety of musical genres that have shaped his musical style. Whether you would like to hear classic rock, modern pop, soul, country, reggae, calypso, or request something completely different, Jay is ready to entertain!
