I have hired Gary Prisby to play at multiple events ranging from holiday parties to scholarship award ceremonies and charity fundraising events. He is truly a very talented musician that always leaves the guests incredibly happy. He is one of the few that I have hired for multiple events because of the feedback I always receive from the guests. He’s done a great job at adapting to the crowd and the event. I will continue using him for personal and work events.

We hired Gary for our corporate reception for about 200 last night. He was incredibly great at communicating, arrived well in advance of our guests, was playing when they arrived, and made absolutely perfect song choices throughout the night. He could not have been more professional and everyone really enjoyed this music! We will definitely hire him again when we are back in Pittsburgh!

We had Gary play for my father's 70th surprise birthday party. Gary was very responsive through the whole booking process and worked with the venue for planning purposes seamlessly. He arrived early and was set up ready to go before guests began to arrive. His equipment was up to date, and he sounded amazing. I received compliments all evening about how great the music was. The volume was at a perfect level all evening and guests we able to have great conversations without having to yell to overcome loud music. You will not be disappointed with Gary's song lists as he plays music from so many different artists and sounds awesome while he is doing it. I would highly recommend Gary and will definitely be booking him again for future events. If you are in need of music for your next event look no further than Gary Prisby.

What to expect
My performances boast a tasteful variety of new and classic rock, 90s rock, alternative and blues selections - even some oldies and an occasional country tune. Although an award-winning songwriter, covers songs are my bread and butter. With my extensive artist list, any event can be tailor-made featuring the genres and artists chosen by you.
About
Raised in an artistic, musical family, I picked up the guitar at 7 years of age and have been playing music professionally for well over 25 years.
I’ve had the pleasure and honor to showcase my talents as a cover artist as well as a singer/songwriter in several competitions.
2022: 3rd Place - “Best Cover Artist” In the Pgh City Paper’s Best Of 2022 Readers Poll. I was the only solo act in the city to make it to the top 10 voting round with 9 other bands.
2019: 2nd place at the BSWPA’s Blues Challenge in Pittsburgh.
2018: Winner of the Pittsburgh Acoustic Challenge
2014 & 2011: Quarter finalist at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
2013 & 2010: 1st Place at the BSWPA’s Blues Challenge in Pittsburgh.

Influences and inspiration
I enjoy all of the artists that I cover. However, I am a big fan of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young . . . the Allman Brothers, Matchbox 20, Train and Tom Petty to name a few.
