Overview

I'm a fairly relaxed acoustic act. I play guitar and sing for all types of audiences. For the past 5 years I've played restaurants, small events, bars, opened for bands, played campfires, and even played in a church band for about a year all together.

My performances are usually going to include classic rock, some Christian music, Rock, originals, country, and a small amount of random song requests.

I'm family friendly and I don't use swear words or inappropriate lyrics in my song selection.

I always interact with the audiences where possible...I tend to keep that on a basic conversation level however...not a big crowd hype man by any means! 😆

Let me know how I can serve you!

Amazing Artist, Musician, Singer, and Songwriter

I’m very heard Jason play on many occasions in various venues and settings. He has a unique style that brings a different flair to songs you may know, but his creative edge really shows when he plays his original songs. The words and musicality of his songs are deep and meaningful, while being easy to listen to and enjoy. Jason puts his heart and soul into every performance. He is a talented artist and a great person.

About

Jason Tatt – Acoustic Storyteller | Soulful Performer

Jason Tatt is a Georgia-based singer-songwriter and guitarist with a voice soaked in soul, a heart rooted in faith, and a performance style that draws people in from the very first note. With over a half-decade of live performance experience, Jason blends elements of folk, rock, country, and modern worship to deliver heartfelt shows that feel both intimate and uplifting.

Whether he's playing at a cozy coffeehouse, a wedding, a festival, or a private backyard event, Jason creates an atmosphere where people can relax, reflect, and connect through music. His style has been compared to artists like Chris Stapleton, Needtobreathe, Zach Williams, and John Mayer — blending grit with grace, soul with simplicity.

Musical Background

Jason's journey started like many great stories — with a guitar, a notebook, and a few songs that just needed to be sung. Raised on a mix of gospel, classic rock, and Americana, his musical roots run deep. After years of performing in churches, community events, and small venues, he began writing original songs that reflect his personal walk-through life, love, and faith.

His original music — including fan favorites like "Thank You, Lord" and "Quilt of Life" — blends storytelling with spiritual depth. He's also known for creative covers of popular songs that keep the crowd engaged while giving familiar tunes a fresh sound.

Performance Style

Jason performs solo with an acoustic guitar and optional backing tracks or loop pedal for a full sound without a full band. He brings his own high-quality sound system, keeps his setup clean and professional, and adjusts his setlist to fit the vibe and audience — from upbeat and energetic to mellow and reflective.

Whether it’s leading a singalong, performing a touching original song, or covering a beloved classic, Jason’s goal is always the same: to move people with honest, heartfelt music.

Technical Requirements for My Live Music Performances

Whether I’m performing solo acoustic or with backing tracks, I aim to keep things simple, efficient, and stress-free for your venue or event. Below is everything you need to know about my technical requirements. If anything here doesn’t line up with your event setup, don’t worry—I’m flexible and happy to work with you to make it work!

⚡ Power Requirements
Standard Power: I require access to at least one grounded 110V outlet within 25 feet of the performance area.

Backup Options: I can provide a battery-powered inverter for off-grid or outdoor events upon request (extra fee may apply).

Power Strip/Extension Cord: I bring my own, but if you're providing power, please let me know where it is located in advance.

🔊 Sound Requirements
I typically bring my own compact PA system that is powerful enough to cover small to mid-sized venues (up to 150 people). You do not need to provide sound unless you'd prefer to use your own system.

My gear includes:

Main PA system: Yamaha/EV/Bose-style portable PA with crisp clarity and strong low end

Microphone(s): Shure SM58 or equivalent dynamic mic

Instrument inputs: Direct input (DI) for acoustic guitar and/or tracks

Mixer: 4–6 channel mixer with EQ and reverb

Backing tracks (if used): Played from iPad or phone with appropriate adapters

Cables: All necessary XLR, 1/4", and RCA cables provided

If you're providing sound, I’ll need:

At least one vocal microphone with stand

One or two DI boxes or instrument inputs for acoustic guitar or backing track device

A monitor speaker or in-ear send if I’m not using my own monitor

A simple mixer or sound tech on-site for large events is appreciated

💡 Lighting Requirements
I do not require professional stage lighting, but here are my preferences based on the setting:

Daytime/Outdoor Events: Natural light is typically sufficient

Evening Events: Basic overhead or ambient lighting is helpful so I can see my instrument, gear, and setlist

Low-light settings: I can bring a small LED lighting setup upon request

If you're providing stage lighting, soft white or warm tone is ideal—no strobe or high-motion effects needed

🪜 Stage / Performance Area Requirements
No formal stage is required, but please provide a clean, stable, and dry area for setup. Here’s what I typically need:

Minimum space: 6’ x 6’ for solo performances (larger if duo or backing gear included)

Shelter: For outdoor events, please provide a covered area (tent, awning, or gazebo) to protect gear from sun or rain

Flat surface: No uneven ground or high-traffic walkways if possible

Chair/stool: Optional, but I usually perform standing unless a seated vibe is requested

🔁 Setup & Soundcheck
Arrival time: I typically arrive 60–90 minutes before start time for setup and soundcheck

Setup time: About 30–45 minutes for a full soundcheck and gear check

Quiet period: I may need a few minutes of quiet to test levels before guests arrive

🎚️ Volume & Venue Awareness
I always keep volume appropriate for your setting—background levels for dinner or mingling, or a bit louder for engagement when needed

For smaller or intimate venues, I often perform at low to moderate volume with minimal gear to preserve the vibe

For larger outdoor events, I can scale up the sound as needed

🧩 Additional Info / Customization
I’m happy to coordinate with DJs, other bands, event planners, AV teams, or venue managers

For special song requests (first dance, walk-in music, custom covers), please provide at least two weeks’ notice

If multiple sets are planned, I can provide break music or coordinate with other entertainment as needed

🚛 Travel & Load-In
I bring my gear in a pickup truck and can park near the venue for loading/unloading

Please ensure clear access to the performance area (no steep stairs or long hauls if avoidable)

Parking for one vehicle is appreciated near the event site

🎤 Optional Add-Ons (Available Upon Request)
Additional speaker setup for larger areas or split zones

Ambient stage lighting for evening events

Generator or inverter for remote power

Live looping or additional instrument support

Emcee/announcer duties (intros, transitions, etc.)

Worship-leading experience with lyric coordination if applicable

If you’re not sure whether your venue or space is a fit, feel free to reach out with questions. I’ll work with you to make the experience seamless for you and your guests. I’ve played in everything from coffee shops and churches to open fields and RV parks—I’ve learned how to adapt, simplify, and serve the vibe, no matter the space.

Let’s make it easy, meaningful, and memorable.
