USA #1 Singer/Guitarist/One-Man Band! "Best of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & Rising Star Award Winner”! -GigMasters.com
You are planning an event, and want more than just 'a guy and a guitar' but a band is too big, too loud, too expensive & too much hassle. David Payton is your answer! He has the SOUND of a full band, for the budget, logistical/space requirements of a quality solo artist. David understands that success as an entertainer requires more than talent. It requires hard work, being responsible and being prepared. He will do all he can to meet (and exceed) his clients needs, & make their event a pleasant and unforgettable experience!
(Distances over 50 miles may incur additional fees)
Do yourself a favor and book David Payton. David played our processional and recessional songs for our wedding ceremony and was the master of ceremonies and musician for our reception. He did a phenominal job! He is a wonderful singer/guitar player (and played the banjo for us). He was fun, energized and very good at getting the party started. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand before his first song was over. He danced, got the crowd doing line dances, mingled, and generally just wowed everyone. We had a friend who is a professional sax player join in with him on a few songs, and he was very gracious about that as well, and it went seemlessly. He came early, stayed late and just basically hit it out of the ballpark. Thank you David, for contributing so much towards making our wedding and reception so memorable. With our deepest thanks, -- Lisa and Hal
Response from David Payton: Singer/Guitarist/One-Man-Band!:
Hal & Lisa were a joy to work with! They had great ideas and very nice friends & family. It was a great fit! Congratulations!
David Has a broad repertoire and added greatly to our event. He is an exceptional guitarist and great singer-
Both for listening and dancing- had compliments from everyone
Would highly recommend David...
And will be inviting him to all our events
We had a backyard BBQ-going away party this summer, and David Payton made the night extra special with his awesome musical talents and soaring vocals! A one man band indeed!
He played and sang all our requested favorites keeping our guests singing and dancing along ALL night long!! A real focal point of our party was for everyone to have the best night ever-and having live music by Mr. Payton made that happen! A super fun night had by all!
I knew David was going to be a hit at our wedding. We watched him play prior to, just to make sure he was what we were looking for. As soon as I heard him sing, my fiancé & I knew he was more than we ever expected to be able to afford. He took the time to talk to us & gave us the confidence that he has everything under control, so there's one less thing for you to worry about. David played at my small country wedding in Ellijay. He performed my ceremony & reception music. He started out nice and easy and kicked it up a notch, and then another notch as the night progressed! David surprised us all with an solo collaboration of many different songs through the years & it was a big hit, I will always remember! As long as David Payton is at your wedding, everyone young & old will dance & have a good time. I remember at one point, the entire dance floor was covered with people doing the shuffle, even my mom! My dad...a big fan of music, if he wasn't dancing, he was tapping his fingers & toes!
David turned our Special Event into an Epic Night! Friends & Family are still talking about what a phenomenal evening it was!
Did a fantastic job, excellent musician and vocalist
Will hire again!!
David did a great job!
Response from David Payton: Singer/Guitarist/One-Man-Band!:
He had nothing but glowing remarks. He said everyone loved me. I have no idea why he only gave me four out of five stars.
I can't give enough kudos to David. This is his second appearance for Red Clay Rescue's Round Up. He never walks away without someone asking for his card!! He is very, very talented.
David was wonderful. He went beyond our expectations and made our company holiday party extra special. His voice was amazing and his variety of music was expansive. You can't go wrong using David for your next event!
David arrives promptly and does it all! He is extremely talented and very professional. I would definitely have him back. DEFINITELY!
David is a true professional and amazing musician! His show is a must see and if you need a musician for a special event you will not be disappointed!
I am a fellow musician and when I am unable to fulfill a date because I am already booked, I am more than happy to refer that date to David Payton. I know he is trustworthy, reliable, talented and will get the job done.
This guy was recommended because of his serious and diverse experience on the road..."a true road warrior"...so we figured it would be worth a look-see. My wife wanted jazzy, I wanted bluesy, the kids wanted pop and rock...I was going broke. Listened to a couple of clips and then realized this guy is a musicians musician and can to -with ease- whatever the situation calls for. We didn't realize how good he was until people started seeing the normal covers were so spot on, that's when the fun began and he started really making this a gig. David was not only a paid professional that made life simple but he was a part of the party. It actually started on stage with all the kids gathered around and him leading the party! Way to go David, you're a pro and a class act that can make your voice and guitar truly do anything.
He was so much fun and what a great voice! Did I mention he plays the guitar. I If you get a chance to see David, don't pass it up!!!!
You're lucky if you hire David. His performance was 10 stars of 5 at our convention. Our guests couldn't stop raving about his music. We all couldn't believe one man could do what he does and have it really sound like a full band. He was helpful, professional and best of all is an incredible singer and guitarist. Would hire again a trillion times. A kind man and a true gentleman, thanks again and again David !
We enjoyed David's mix of music. He had a wide range of songs and performed them expertly.
David played for a rehearsal dinner and kept the party rockin. David is a terrific one man band and I would certainly recommend him!
The only reason I can remember that far back is because David's playing was amazing. I'd love to see his one-man-band act in person!
I have followed David's career for 35 years, from his portrayal of Conrad Birdie in Bye Bye Birdie to his portrayal of Tony in West Side Story to his career with Mylon Lefevre and Broken Heart to his current act as a One-Man-Band. He has been excellent in everything I've seen. If you have not seen David Payton "Live in concert" you are in for a treat!
I have enjoyed David's talents immensely!
David was at our chuch camp many years ago for a week, he is just phenomenal. He is so immensely talented! He sang a lot of his own original songs, but also was able to learn alot of the old camp 'favorites' very quickly, also teacing us a few new favorites! Oh, and if someone would shout out a song, Christian or secular, he'd bust it out, perfectly playing the guitar rifts and singing... It's been a while since I've seen him or heard him, but my memories of him being at camp are permanently ingrained in my mind. He is just that good. Book him, you'll see!
David and an amazing player/singer/entertainer... great fun.. a very talented man.
Amazing vocal and musical talent; very entertaining. Good mix of different genres and eras of music. Good audience participation - we all had fun!
David was my regular guitarist for 2 years(2007-2009) at Crown Pointe Community Church in our Praise Band. Not only did he play a variety of music from traditional to contemporary, he also sang. He is extremely versatile as he is able to play any style of music on electric and acoustic guitar. David is also just a fun gun to be around and is musically on top of his game. I can confidently recommend David Payton to anyone looking to hire some top-notch entertainment!!!
I have seen David on numerous occasions.....his music is awesome and he plays and sings a wide variety of songs....and he does special requests. When I am there he knows my favorite and plays it everytime...
Excellent guitarist and vocalist! Looking for to hearing him again soon!
David is a guitar monster! It's like he knows how to play and sing every song ever made. He can read the crowd and make everybody happy. Very diverse! Johnny Cash to ZZZ Top...WOW!!!
