What to expect

I have a long history of entertaining. I tell stories (typically about songs I've written, or the song I'm about to play if it is a cover). I do my best to read the room and play the music that makes the crowd happy while mixing in my own songs so that they get exposed to my music.

About

Jared LoStracco is a dynamic country singer/songwriter hailing from East Texas. He is the driving force behind his band “The Red Dirt Troubadours.” His love for music ignited at a young age from listening to his father's country records and strumming away to classics from artists like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Jerry Jeff Walker. Having earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, Jared spent 6 years as a Naval officer during which he wrote and recorded his debut album 'When Country Was Cool.' While conducting a routine stop at Guantanamo Bay, Jared seized the opportunity to open for country superstar Toby Keith. Leaving a lasting impression on Al Bowman, executive producer for the Los Angeles Music Awards, Jared entered and won the independent artist category for Country Single of the Year in the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2005.

Following his success, Jared became the opening act for platinum recording artist Josh Turner for a summer concert series in Virginia Beach. After which he took an 8 year hiatus to focus on starting a family with his lovely wife Jennifer. In 2015 he returned to music and was a semifinalist in the Dallas Songwriter's Association's Annual Song Contest. In 2016, Jared resumed recording and was recognized by Songwriters Universe as one of their "Best Songs of the Month". During that same year he won 2 of the 3 Grand Prizes in The Dallas Songwriters Association's Annual Song Contest, and garnered publishing deals with several companies. Undeniably, Jared's sublime and versatile songwriting skill complements his artistry, and his eloquent phrasing illuminates and establishes an emotional connection with his audiences.

Most recently, he wrote 9 songs for the band's new album entitled 'Red Dirt Troubadours' which was licensed by the Discovery Channel and the Nascar Network. Jared's songwriting ability is influenced by artists such as Guy Clark, John Prine, Todd Snider, Billy Joe Shaver, Robert Earl Keen and Walt Wilkins among others.
