A task that required printing a report. The report ranged from several to hundreds of pages. Many of these reports were being printed each day by several team members. Utilizing the ACE concept, a new process was developed that eliminated most of the paper required for this task.

The end result: on a weekly basis it reduced the usage of paper by many cases, people hours in scanning documents, the volume of paper that required shredding from an outsourced vendor and expensive toner for the copy machine. Within a couple months of implementation, the high capacity printer that used to run almost non-stop was removed as it was no longer needed.

Janice Frogel is a process improvement expert, author, creator of the ACE It Mindset and

After being devastated about the Space Shuttle Challenger accident, Janice felt powerless. Over time, she discovered it was all in perspective and that she could do something positive about the situation. She created a presentation about manned space flight as a way to give back to the lost astronauts. This blossomed over the years as Janice has presented that talk and others to places including schools, Space Center Houston and Royal Carribean Cruises.

The process to create the space presentation was a difficult one. Extensive research was required, much of it so complicated Janice had to take it apart in small pieces in order to understand it. The in-depth analysis Janice experienced through this process, along with grasping the importance of perspective and the power of positive over time morphed into finding better, more efficient ways of doing things. With a strong proactive outlook, Janice constantly sought out opportunities to improve processes and outcomes in her personal and professional life. She utilized this on a daily basis for many years.

Janice has over 20 years of experience working in the business side of healthcare. She has also been utilized in employee training.
