Jane West

A relaxed, yet engaging musical experience with Jane West is what you can expect when you go to one of her shows. Between playing solo, dueting with guitarist Joe Golden, or playing with a full acoustic/electric band, Jane caters to your musical needs. Since Jane plays multiple genres, she can help make your event more memorable with the right kind of music.

Jane West summons Americana voices like Linda Ronstadt and Gillian Welch with the contemporary sounds of Emmylou Harris and Rachel Price in a relaxed, engaged atmosphere. Singing all over the Greater Pittsburgh Area since she was six years old, Jane has been fortunate enough to perform a variety of genres including: rock, jazz, blues, folk, classical, opera, funk, choral, bluegrass, electronica, Celtic, musical theatre, and even barbershop. Her passion for music has followed her throughout her musical studies (nationally and internationally) since she was 9 years old, learning several instruments along the way of her vocal journey.
Jane regularly performs not only solo, but also in numerous duos and bands in an acoustic, electric, and sometimes an a capella setting. Time allowing, she teaches beginner guitar/vocal lessons, and promotes/reviews music locally and is currently recording. When she's not performing, Jane enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends, feeding her concert addiction, petting every dog & cat she meets, and thrills in finding as much old vinyl as possible in stores all over the country.

Jane usually travels with a sound system, but it's always helpful to know if there is already a sound person to help out with equipment that belongs to the venue or is a rental (basically, sound systems that aren't Jane's!). Lighting goes by individual bookings, as well as parking/loading options.
