MUSIC WITH JAMES is my music program for children. I sing and play a mixture of popular and original songs, accompanying myself on guitar, piano and harmonica. For the children's concerts and parties, I mix the traditional kids songs with selections from the Beatles, Broadway, and my own "Saturday" CD. I also play french horn, trumpet, trombone, accordian, violin, viola and cello; I bring one or more of these instruments to the children's events to demonstrate! I also bring puppets and colorful parachute.
I have also played piano and performed as a singer/guitarist at numerous Corporate events and concerts in NYC.

James Humphrey is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and pianist. He has been performing for children’s events and leading music classes at numerous preschool programs in Manhattan for the past seven years, including Reebok Sports Club ‘For Kids Only’ program, The Kid's Korner Preschool, Saint Joseph’s Elementary School, Bright Horizons Children’s Center, Vet’s Kids and the Early Ear.
His Music with James program meets three times per week in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood, and has now expanded to include the Upper East Side, Bkln and NJ.
Prior to his foray into children’s music, James was signed with Sony Music as a songwriter for four years. NBC News Nashville ran a feature story on James as a new Sony artist. Overseas, James appeared in a Japanese TV commercial singing an original composition, and was a featured guest on talk shows in Japan and Holland.
James is currently completing his M.A. in Music Education.
