I can play up to 5 hours of cover music, spanning everything from The Beatles to today’s pop hits, and always with plenty of personality and easygoing banter between songs. While I love mixing in modern favorites, I have a soft spot for the classics of the ‘60s and ‘70s, with artists like Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and Eagles often finding their way into my setlists. Whether you’re looking for relaxed background music or an interactive singalong, I create an atmosphere that makes guests feel welcome and entertained from start to finish.

Jacob Slater is a singer-songwriter from Rochester, NY, who has been playing guitar since the ripe age of seven. Cutting his teeth on the Rochester bar circuit as a teenager, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Music from Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, OH.

Now based in Brooklyn, Jacob brings his rich musical background to weddings, parties, and special events across New York and beyond.

With a style rooted in folk, pop, and classic singer-songwriter traditions, Jacob’s performances range from laid-back background music to lively sets that get guests singing along. In addition to his professional stage work, Jacob has experience working with kids, having led “Mommy and Me” music sessions in Chelsea for two years — making him a versatile choice for both family-friendly events and evening celebrations.

All I need is access to a power source. I provide my own speakers, guitar, and microphone, so I can bring a complete setup for your event. If your venue already has a sound system in place, I’m happy to plug in and use that as well.
