Overview

The Jackson Park Jazz Orchestra is a group of seasoned musicians, many are residents of Wauwatosa, that play a brassy mix of jazz and big band charts. The 19 member group includes trumpet, trombone and sax sections, plus a rhythm section and a featured vocalist. Local support has been building with upcoming 2014 appearances at Tosa Tonight, the Tosa Farmer’s Market, Pizzeria Piccola, and a spot at Tosa Fest.

A great sound from a lot of talented musicians

What a great afternoon listening to the talented musicians in the Jackson Park Jazz Orchestra perform at the terrific venue in Glendale, the beautiful Johnson Controls Ampitheater. They played a wonderful selection of classic jazz favorites with a big band sound and a toe tapping original piece by one of its members. The only thing missing? More people in the audience. We need to spread the word.
