Joey opened our Womens leadership event and set a very funny relaxed tone for the other speakers. His brand of comedy was fun and enjoyable and clean enough for the whole family to enjoy. He did a great job of reading the room and responding appropriately to the audiance. I would storngly recommend him for any private event.

About
The comedic end result of being a West Virginia Hillbilly who was transplanted to the SF Bay Area. He spent 40-plus years traveling all over the USA working in animal management (construction). Once I retired, I took up stand-up comedy.

. My material is generally club-friendly and Dry Bar–audition safe, but I sneak in plenty of innuendo and playful naughtiness that gets big laughs without ever going blue. Self-deprecating nerd energy
. A lot of my laughs come from embracing being a big, bald, middle-aged guy who’s secretly a total dork—Star Wars references, comic-book logic, and proudly wearing Superman shirts on stage. My opener tagline (“Fighting a never-ending battle for truth, justice, and the right to wear spandex!”) perfectly captures that vibe. I try to be smart but never pretentious, and stay relentlessly positive-weird.

My inspirations include Jack Benny, Bill Enval, Jeff Dunham, Gallagher, and my hero, the original comedian from Appalachia, the great Tennessee Ernie Ford. A mixture of storytelling, restrained chaos, and funny voices.
