Overview

I provide intimate, contemplative solo acoustic guitar music for all manner of occasions, from concerts to events.
I am also available to compose custom solo guitar pieces for any occasion, and offer an option for a professional recording of the piece. In addition to music, I am a published author and also offer readings or recitations for events.

Note: I do not sing or perform singer songwriter material - I provide instrumental solo acoustic guitar music.

About

NYC based composer/author Charlie Rauh has been artist in residence for organizations including The Robert Rauschenberg Foundation and Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. He is the author of “Simply, Patiently, Quietly” from String Letter Publishing – a combination of essays on creative approach, illustrations by Christina Rauh Fishburne, and a songbook of original compositions for solo guitar and choir. Rauh’s work has been featured in Ploughshares, Acoustic Guitar, and The Advocate. He has given artist talks for the music and literature departments of institutions including Louisiana State University, University of Tennessee, and New Jersey Institute of Technology. He has been a guest lecturer for historical institutions including The Van Cortlandt House Museum and Dey Mansion Washington’s Headquarters.
