Hi! I’m Michael Shofi, a singer, guitarist, and songwriter who brings the perfect live music vibe to weddings, parties, corporate events, and more. My setlist covers pop, folk, classic rock, indie, and beyond, always tailored to your event. I hold a BFA from Pace University, have been recognized by the Johnny Mercer Songwriting Project and Honeywell Arts Academy, and spent three years as a music producer creating entertainment for cruise ships and theme parks. I also founded Sound & Stillness, a live music yoga series, and work with Project: Music Heals Us, bringing music to nursing homes, palliative care, and prisons.

Michael was absolutely PHENOMENAL at my daughter’s “Ami’s Berry First Rodeo” birthday party 🤎🐴🍓. From the moment he started, he set the tone for the entire event. He serenaded us with songs everyone knew and loved, kept both the kids and adults fully engaged, and brought such a warm, joyful energy.
One of the most special moments was the Happy Birthday tribute he did it truly made the day feel magical and unforgettable. He didn’t just perform, he created an experience.
Professional, talented, and so easy to work with. I would book him again in a heartbeat and highly recommend him for any event. He was truly one of the highlights of our day!

Michael was such a great collaborator: friendly, supportive, flexible, empathetic. He went out of the way to prepare all my daughter's favorite songs, even the ones from KPOP demon hunters!! I’m so glad we connected with Michael to play our son’s birthday party! We wanted a musician that would be entertaining for both the kids and the parents, since parties can get a little tedious at this age. Michael has a beautiful voice and sang kids classics and also some millennial favorites. All of our guests were so impressed. He is also just a lovely guy to work with. I’d recommend him for any type of event.

I’ve performed all over NYC and beyond — from opening for nationally touring bands like Three Dog Night and Hotel California – A Salute to the Eagles, to providing the soundtrack for intimate weddings, upscale restaurants, and backyard celebrations. My goal is always the same: to elevate your event with live music that fits the exact tone you’re envisioning.
My setlist spans decades and genres — pop, classic rock, folk, indie, disco, and beyond — and I’m always happy to tailor the mix to match your style. Whether you want laid-back acoustic background music, sweet ceremony songs, or upbeat singalongs to get the party going, I’ve got you covered. Some background: I hold a BFA in Musical Theater from Pace University, and after college transitioned into a full-time career as a musician, singer-songwriter, and music producer. I’m honored to have been selected for the prestigious Johnny Mercer Songwriters Project and to be an inaugural fellow of the Honeywell Arts Academy’s Resonance program.
