Hurdy-Gurdy Man

I have categorized myself as Fiddler, but I actually play what is sometimes called a Wheel-Fiddle or Hurdy Gurdy. I play mostly fiddle tunes, specifically traditional dance melodies from the UK and France. I can also sing traditional songs as well as tell stories and the occasional joke. I have been playing for almost 40 years and I have a fabulous instrument, a model of hurdy-gurdy called a Lyra Cello. I can read the room, as in, I will tailor what I play and how loud I play according to the number of people, the mood etc. Magic may very well ensue.
