Mike came in with both a fiddle &. banjo and delighted our dinner group for nearly 3 hours. With a smile, he played a wide variety of well-known fiddle songs, classical pieces, and a few contemporary songs on a banjo. When folks started singing along without any inhibition, I knew I had hired that right musician. Go with Mike!!

Mike knocked it out of the park! Not only did he learn our setlist masterfully, but he jumped into the band seamlessly, and elevated the entire evening. From "Devil Went Down To Georgia" to "Callin' Baton Rouge" to "Dixieland Delight" and more, Mike played everything down to the note and was super fun and brought great energy to the show. I'd give 10 stars if I could and would highly recommend Mike for you next event.

What to expect
A multi-instrumentalist and singer, Mike brings high energy traditional music to small and medium venues. This can take the form of lively background fiddle music for a cocktail party, organizing guests to sing pub songs or dance a square at a backyard gathering, or an authentic processional at a country wedding. Able to play tiny indoor spaces with an acoustic solo fiddle, up to lager outdoor spaces with plenty of amplification and multiple instruments.
About
Mike Pagnani is a performer, teacher, and curator of traditional music. A multi-instrumentalist and singer, Mike brings music from throughout time and across cultures with instrumental dance tunes and folk songs. He plays in a number of Hudson Valley based acts including bluegrass fusion band Beer Stained Fiddle and Americana 3 piece The Less Traveled, as well as running Tune Session, Song Circles and Pub Sings. Mike has been playing the parties, streets, and venues of New York's Hudson Valley for two decades. He lives near Hudson with his wife, kids and cats.

Fiddle tunes number in the hundreds, and are drawn from the USA, Ireland and the British Isles, Canada, Scandinavia and Europe primarily. Tunes are curated to fit the situation. Well known titles include "Turkey in the Straw", "Golden Slippers", and "The Irish Washerwoman"
Folks songs are similarly plentiful and include Work Songs, Sea Shanties, Ballads, and Pub Songs. Well know titles include "Hot Corn Cold Corn", "Drunken Sailor" and "Whiskey in the Jar"
