May 15, 2025Constructive Feedback
Hunter was kind and responsive however, I was disappointed with the following:
1. In a previous discussion prior to the event, I discussed the dress Code of the event, which was red carpet (semi-formal). I specifically stated that no jeans were allowed and to wear a collared shirt. Hunter showed in jeans and a t-shirt.
2. During a previous meeting, I asked Hunter to keep the material PG rated and to avoid any jokes that were controversial or polarizing because of the audience being school connected. His last joke centered on South Africa, Elon Musk and refugees. It didn't land well.
3. Hunter didn't show until 10 to 15 minutes until he was to go on stage. This prevented an opportunity for us to have any conversation prior to his performance.
Again, I think Hunter was kind, willing and had a a few moments that were funny. Unfortunately after doing a survey, most of our guests did not enjoy the performance.
Sharing some constructive feedback but wish Hunter nothing but the best in his future endeavors. I know that his job was a hard one so I appreciate his time and effort.

Hi Shayla, first thank you so much for the opportunity to perform for your event, I did show up in a collard shirt (have a pic from the event to prove it) and the jeans I had talked to you during the show that I had left work late and why I was in jeans to which you said was perfectly fine, I never mentioned any refugees and the only reference to made to Elon musk was to the punchline of another joke that was combating racism I had contacted you my eta the day of the show as well, not sure where the disconnect happened from my point of view the show went very very well, other than one lady passing out half way through the show which may have thrown some things off, but the claim I was not in a collard shirt, mentioned refugees and that we had no prior conversion when we had a Google meeting weeks before just is not true. Not sure what I did wrong other than wearing a pair of jeans to which I gave you a reason why (work) but either way enjoyed the event hope you are doing well!

Encountered Hunter during a wedding. He spoke on behalf of the bride and groom and had the attendees rolling with every line. Very original.
