My name is Hudson Howard. I am a solo performing artist. Who plays the flute and the alto flute with rhythm section music. The rhythm section music comes from an ipod and or a laptop. And it streams through my PA sound system. The types of music that I play and perform are jazz, the blues, rhythm and blues and salsa. I have experience playing in numerous settings and venues. Including, clubs,libraries, festivals and television. And I also have access to other musicians if a larger group such as a trio, quartet or larger is needed. My name is Hudson and the main direction in my career has been that of a high school social studies teacher. But music has always been a primary focus in my life, even as a social studies teacher. There were times when I was teaching during the day and playing music(clubs, libraries, television(Connecticut Local Access and Showtime at the Apollo) and wherever music was needed, at night. I am now a young looking recently retired social studies teacher and once in a while I substitute teach. But music is my primary focus now. I am available as a solo musician and as a duo, with a wonderful vocalist named Grace. And if a situation calls for a larger size(trio, quartet, quintet) group of musicians. I have them at my avail. Give us an opportunity and I guarantee that you won't regret it.

We start off playing the blues(swing dance style and slow). Then the next songs feature the jazz vocals of Grace and I accompany). Then we do music of Motown(marvin gaye, stevie wonder and Martha and the vandellas. . We follow with a combination salsa jazz set. More jazz, vocal and instrumental will follow this.
