Houston Ave delivers a country show built around great songs, strong musicianship, and a band that knows how to read a room. Our sets blend modern country favorites with the best of ’90s and 2000s country, plus a touch of Southern rock and classic crowd favorites.
Houston Ave is a four-piece country band built around a decade-long musical partnership,
three-part vocal harmony, and a show designed around the audience in front of them.
Frontman Sean Callaham leads the band with an easy, personable command of the room,
while he and Brazilian-born guitarist Anderson Safre trade rhythm and lead duties
throughout the night. Backed by bassist Tim Olivera and drummer Darrin Spencer, Houston
Ave moves comfortably from Midland and Cody Johnson to George Strait and Dwight
Yoakam, with the occasional familiar rock detour when the room calls for it.
Years of performing weddings, private events, rodeos, festivals, casinos, and public shows
throughout California and Nevada have shaped a simple philosophy: the audience
shouldn't have to adapt to the band. It's the band's job to entertain the audience.
Country comes first. The rest depends on the room.
Houston Ave can provide complete sound and lighting production for most events.
Our ideal stage size is 30’ x 20’, with a minimum performance area of approximately 16’ x 16’. A raised stage is preferred for larger events but is not required. The performance area must be flat, stable, and suitable for the band and equipment.
When providing production, we require access to a minimum of two separate 15-amp electrical circuits near the performance area.
For outdoor performances, the stage and equipment must be adequately protected from weather. Please contact us in advance regarding outdoor setups so we can coordinate the appropriate requirements.
For venues providing sound and/or production, Houston Ave can supply a detailed stage plot, input list, and production guide and will coordinate directly with your production team.
Full-production events generally require approximately three hours for load-in, setup, and soundcheck. Requirements may vary depending on the venue, event size, and production being provided.
