Overview

For over 40 years, Keith Gisser and Herps Alive! The Interactive Reptile and Amphibian Experience have been thrilling audiences with hands-on, educational reptile lectures displays and programs. The display program is the largest of its type in the region. The Founder and Executive Director of the 501(c)3 Herps Alive Foundation, a reptile recue organization, Keith relies heavily on rescued animals in his programs. We also have animals available for photo shoots, films and plays. Please note- we are generally booked 30-60 days out, but feel free to request a quote closer in to that.

Amazing program for all ages!

Our early learning center hired Herps Alive for an end of camp event with our students family. Mr. Keith was excellent with the children. He shared information about the various animals that he brought in a way the young children could understand while also entertaining the parents & teachers. Many of the children who were afraid to even see the reptiles, were actually touching the various lizards, tortoises & snakes by the end of the show. I would definitely recommend Herps Alive to anyone & everyone!

What to expect

We provide an interactive reptile and amphibian experience of 45 minutes to four hours duration. We provide caging, attendants and animals as well as information about the animals' captive care, conservation status, wild habitat and more.

About

From consulting with law enforcement to presenting at over 400 colleges, Keith Gsser's Herps Alive! is THE most versatile reptile edutainment program available. Offering hands-on lectures on over a dozen topics; roving programs featuring larger reptiles; and the popular display program -- two dozen reptiles and amphibians, many of which can be handled. Keith's experience as an educator, breeder, keeper and rescuer of reptiles allows him to provide unique insight tailored for the audience's age level. Licensed and insured, Herps Alive! has been featured on local and national television, as well as in local, regional and national print media.
There is not just one program- Herps Alive! can custom design the presentation to fit your theme.
"Anyone can go to a zoo or watch Animal Planet," Keith explains, "But to hold a large python and feel its heartbeat, or to feed a 30 lb. tortoise... those are the kind of remarkable up-close and personal experiences we provide. We have amphibians, we have lizards, we have turtles and tortoises, we have alligators (where legal to display) and we have snakes, not just the giant constrictors but king snakes and rat snakes, and even a boa constrictor who is full-grown at just 20"!!

Additional booking notes

Purchaser provides tables (12-16 feet of table for lecture programs, at least 32 feet of table space for display) and sound f needed. Outdoor programs are subject to weather limits (over 65 or under 95 degrees. Must be sheltered or shaded locaton).
