Hendrix Effect (Jimi & Band of Gypsys)

"Hendrix Effect" is a 3pc band from Crown Point, Indiana. A dedication to Jimi Hendrix, but we also play blues and other classics from the era since Jimi loved the blues and covers. (Dylan!) We have Paul Navarro on guitar and lead vocals, Jesse Fernandez on drums/vocals, and Mason Wilson on bass/vocals. We started as a side project to perform our favorite Jimi Hendrix songs at open mic nights across the Region; you may have caught us in our formative time testing out new songs as we learned them. Hendrix Effect played their first club date in August 2023. Jimi’s catalog is very deep with “blues, rock, and freak-out tunes” as he himself labeled it. While ‘Are You Experienced?’ boasts his essentials, we take our listeners on a journey thru all 3 studio albums as well as the Band of Gypsys, live and deep cuts that all fans will love. Through the summer of 2024 and 2025, Hendrix Effect played and headlined numerous festivals in the Region. In Oct 2024, Paul was invited to host a monthly "Hendrix Jam" at Verona Pizza in Valpo, all ages welcome and encouraged to jam! Catch even bigger things happening in 2026!

We are a 3 piece band that all play our instruments and sing vocals. We supply our own instruments and amplifiers. We can, as part of a package, supply a full pro sound/lights system if needed.
