Have bagpipes, will travel

Examples of my performance elements:

Wedding - Playing preliminary music (usually outside) 15 minutes prior to the start, leading the bride down the aisle/playing special music during the ceremony/playing the bride and groom out of the church. Playing the reception also is an additional charge.

Funeral or Memorial Service - Leading the casket in/out of the sanctuary to the hearse, playing graveside. No additional charge for playing both the church/funeral home service and graveside service if the cemetery is within 5 miles of the church or funeral home.

Party - I can play inside or outside depending on the weather and your desires. Homes or restaurants/bars with low ceilings are usually unpleasant venues for bagpipes. High ceilings are preferred for indoor playing. Banquette halls are generally very acceptable for bagpipe performances. As far as music selection, it depends on on the type of party. We can discuss your wishes and desires of course!

Military Ceremonies, Dining-In/Dining Out, Retirements - Playing preliminary music 15 minutes prior to the start. I can lead in the Roast Beef for Dining Ins and Outs. I normally play Amazing Grace at some point during a Retirement Ceremony. I can also play any of the Armed Forces Service Songs during the "piping over the side" portion of a Retirement Ceremony.

I am a proud Navy retiree, having served 26 years active duty plus an additional 4 years as a member of the Army Reserve, Army National Guard, Marine Corps Reserve and Navy Reserve. I can safely say I am considered a subject matter expert in military etiquette and honors.

I have been playing bagpipes since 1986 and have competed in Scotland 3 times.

I don't need anything "special" to perform. The only caveat is that ceiling height must be 8 feet minimum to accommodate the height of the pipe's drones. Also, I will not play outside in the pouring rain with or without lightning.
