Groovin' River

We bring a great show of your jazz standards and favorites, non-denominational Christmas songs, originals and more. We are a full 5-piece band, including guitar, bass, piano, percussion and vocals. We can take care of ALL your sound and music needs for your event.

Groovin’ River began with Alan Stewart and Wild Man Dave. They wanted to form a band that reflected their interest in a wide range of American music – popular jazz, show tunes, Latin and country blues.
We were joined by vocalist Zoë Mullican, who brings her exciting, dynamic performance style, and Norm Ballinger, who is an experienced, knowledgeable guitarist and singer-songwriter on his own.
Jorge de Armas is a Latin percussionist who is in great demand. Alice Evans, an accomplished performer, musician, and songwriter in her own right, joined us as our keyboard player.

We're a five piece band, and can either set up in in a row of 5 people, or two in back and 3 in front.
We can rent lights and sound and provide these services as part of your quote, or we can give you the specs that we need for your event coordinator to provide lighting & sound.
Generally, we have on stage a guitarist with amp, keyboard, with amp, bass with amp, acoustic guitar with DI, 4 vocal mics, 6 instrument mics.
