About
Seattle cellist Gretchen Yanover creates string atmospheres woven with warm melodies. She performs as a soloist with her electric cello and looping pedal, along with her classical music life on acoustic cello. Gretchen is a member of NW Sinfonietta orchestra and also serves on their DEI task force. Yanover has performed for Earshot Jazz Festival and TEDx Seattle, and has had compositions commissioned by Seattle Symphony, Seattle Pacific University and University of Oregon. Gretchen has had Artist Residencies with Shunpike, Seattle Public Library, Town Hall Seattle, and Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. Yanover has 5 solo albums to date.

Please provide 1 (one) armless chair without wheels, and 1 additional chair or small table for Gretchen's amp.
1 (one) electrical outlet within 10' needed, and at least 4'x4' performing space.
Additional requirements for all events, particularly outdoor events:
If the temperature at event location at the time of performance is lower than 68 degrees, heating may be needed for optimal playing with happy, functional fingers. Please have a space heater accessible. If the temperature is over 75 degrees, shade/cover must be provided for musician and instrument. Client must have a plan for an alternate location in case of rain.
