Generous with his time

Karl played violin solos in the dining room of my mother's seniors apt complex, for her 93rd birthday. He arrived early and was very generous in his definition of "about half an hour". He chose an excellent repertoire, incorporating my requests. In playing solos of pieces that are written as ensembles, he was very creative. Would recommend.

The best decision we made for our wedding ceremony

Their string trio (violin, cello, and harp) played beautifully at our church wedding ceremony. Leading up to the wedding, V&G was responsive, helpful, and willing to accept special requests. Overall, a wonderful experience working with them!

V & G Entertainment provide live music for any occasion.

Beginning as a violin/guitar duo, V & G Entertainment have been providing live music for weddings and other special events for nearly 10 years. Beginning as an acoustic duo, this Coquitlam based business quickly grew to include a talented roster of professional musicians that cater the perfect musical ensemble to each and every event, Ensembles include classical string quartets, jazz trios, cover/dance bands, pianists, harpists, bagpipers and Violin & Guitar just to name a few. They serve the Greater Vancouver area as well as Whistler and Vancouver Island and are proficient in several styles of music.  In addition to the numerous weddings and corporate parties they perform throughout the year, V & G also provide musical entertainment for Christmas parties at both businesses and residential homes. They offer a variety of jazz, pop and Christmas songs, either instrumentally, or with vocals. They even provide songbooks so others can join along.
What sets V & G apart from other ensembles is the individual attention they give to each event. Song requests in advance are never a problem and since their inception in 2001 they have learned hundreds of songs for weddings and corporate events. While most wedding couples prefer a more traditional sound such as Pachelbel's Canon in D, Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring or Ave Maria, other couples prefer a more contemporary sound such as You Raise Me Up, Gabriel's Oboe, Fly Me To The Moon or Hallelujah (KD Lang/Leonard Cohen). Some couples ask for an even more unique sound with requests of songs like Viva La Vida, Star Wars, I'm Yours and Don't Stop Believin'. Whatever music fits the style of your event, V & G Music will prepare and accommodate to help create exactly the feel you wish at your next engagement.
