We've secured the service of Herman & Nina from Ensemble Affectionato for a couple intimate family events this past year and my family and I couldn't praise them enough for how flexible, reliable, professional and talented this team is.
They are a violinist and cellist team that filled our event space beautifully with the music we requested. They also had their own recommendations which helped with our selection as well and we would never hesitate to recommend or book them again for future events.

We had the most incredible experience at our wedding thanks to this amazing duo! We hired them for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and they truly elevated the entire atmosphere with their beautiful music.

Ensemble Affectionato was the first vendor I booked for my wedding, and the one I was most excited about, and they absolutely delivered. Gorgeous music, very responsive, and the best pricing. They offer a few different make-ups, such as just violin & cello, or quartet, or others. We booked the quartet. I asked for a Bridgerton theme mixed with some Lord of the Rings and Studio Ghibli, Etta James, etc, and they hit it exactly. Their timing was impeccable during the ceremony as well, they got the cues and the tempo matched to what was happening in the moment- they’re clearly experts. We got so many compliments on the string music. If you’re thinking of a string quartet, do it! It was magical. And book with them.

Additional booking notes
We perform acoustically and no amplification is required. Our prices do not include any amplification equipment unless otherwise stated.
Indoor arrangements are preferred.
For outdoor services, shelter/cover is required with heating if forecasted temperature is under 15 Degrees Celsius. Back up location is required in case of rain or full sun. For our instruments' safety, we do not perform outdoors in temperatures below 15 Degrees Celsius, in direct sunlight or under any precipitation without shelter/cover.
Refunds cannot be provided if any of these requirements are not confirmed within one month of booking.
We cannot hold a date unless we are booked officially. Verbal agreements are not accepted and availability is subject to change otherwise.
