Overview

I'm as singer- songwriter guitarist and harmonica player solo, and bandleader lead guitar lead vocalist with my band. My repertoire is composed of the great acoustic songs of the 60s' and 70's, with new originals. For the Gregory Sutton Band we cover from Chuck Berry to Led Zeppelin plus originals with an additional 3 or 4 musicians in my band. I've done many professional gigs from Napa to the Sierras in the last 7 years, and from Key West to Chicago. If you want a great folk-rock, blues and classic rock solo artist or band, I'm the one you should call.
You'll find original songs under the audio tab, I'm happy to send you solo acoustic demo of cover songs by email upon request.

About

I equally love playing electric and acoustic guitar styles. Solo, I cover lots of songs as a one man act, some songs I also play harmonica along with guitars. Great songs stand up without lots of instruments, and I choose the ones that I can do best, from Simon & Garfunkunel to CSN, Neil Young, The Eagles, Steve Earle, Tom Petty, and a few more modern by people like John Mayer or Chris Stapleton. People seem to love my Willie Nelson versions too. For my band, I have top notch musicians I've been playing with for years, full rig keyboardist, drums, bass, backing vocals, 2nd guitar when needed depending on the gig. The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, along with some great original blues/classic rock make for some very entertaining set lists.
Personally, I'm fully immersed in music. I've been on staff with many musician and recording magazines for years, including Guitar Player, Mix (recording industry) Electronic Musician, Acoustic Guitar and more. To quote more than a few fans, "you're the real deal!" I'm a voting member of the Americana Music Association and a former member of NARAS (which you'd know as The Grammys) As a songwriter, my affiliation is with ASCAP.
