Greg Roth is an Alexandria VA-based singer/songwriter who performs at breweries, wineries, concert venues, corporate events, private parties, and special occasions. A former rock journalist, his treats his setlists like mixtapes, weaving together covers and originals to cultivate the right vibe for the venue and audience.

He has released two albums of original music and performed in 25 states and 6 countries, including the State Theater, DC9, Rock and Roll Hotel, Hard Rock Cafe, and others. As a solo performer, he plays either acoustic or electric guitar with a loop pedal to create a one-man band sound, as well as extended jams perfect for events that need enjoyable live background music.

Such a pro!!!

About

Greg Roth is an Alexandria VA-based singer/songwriter who performs at breweries, wineries, concert venues, corporate events, private parties, and special occasions. A former rock journalist, his treats his setlists like mixtapes, weaving together covers and originals to cultivate the right vibe for the venue and audience. Greg has performed in the DC area on and off for the past 20 years, in various band, and at events as a solo artist. As of 2025, he is a full-time musician.

He has released two albums, a short film soundtrack, played just about every venue in the DC area smaller than the 9:30 Club, and toured for a short time, playing in 24 states, along with Canada, England, Ireland, Portugal, and Germany. His songs have been featured in independent movies and corporate podcasts.

He has a professional background that includes a decade of experience in the association work, along with corporate communications. He is a former employee of Thumbtack as a speechwriter, a position he also held in Congress, and at some well-known DC-based organizations. For corporate events, happy hours, and parties, he has extensive experience on the planning side with these events (not to mention attending them).

Finally, he is the founder of The What Have You, a concert series featuring local up-and-coming songwriters and bands. In 2001, he co-founded a charity concert series called Proof Thought The Night that raised funds for a dozen groups in the aftermath of September 11.
