Doc Probes has performed professionally since his teens as a symphony bassoonist and a singer. He graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy as a bassoon and voice major, and over the years he has performed with several symphony orchestras in major concert halls. As a singer he has performed all kinds of popular music, singing and playing guitar, as well as piano and many other instruments. His interest in jazz and pop standards goes back to Interlochen where he performed with Dave Brubeck. Doc has more than a 2-octave vocal range, and he brings powerful vocals to life. He has performed with many bands and ensembles and has toured across Michigan, Florida and the Northeast, and he has performed internationally on radio. Doc has traveled all over the world and speaks and sings in several languages. In recent years he has developed the Golden Voices Show featuring top hits by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Andrea Bocelli and Josh Groban. The combination of Italian popular music with the classic jazz and pop standards is Doc's idea of a Great Show: The Golden Voices!
I perform many shows with backing tracks, although I have plenty of experience performing with all kinds of bands. As a solo guest artist I can bring my own top-quality sound system that is strong enough for 200-300 people. Or, I can work with local sound engineers and technicians.
