What to expect? In a perfect world, I would like to be at the venue (2) hours before the event begins and one to two hours for striking the set. A lot can change with the venue availability, weather, placement of equipment and last minute changes. This gives me an opportunity to make sure everything is in place ie; lighting, mics, dressing my set, cords properly placed, sound checks and anything else that comes in between. I'm usually the first person to arrive on the day of the event and last person to leave minus the venue manager. If an event calls for (4) hours, I bill for (8) hours worth locally and that does not include overtime. If the location is outside of the 60 mile maximum, I will bill for the additional miles plus it takes to get to the location. Before I agree to these terms, I must insist on all communications from the event coordinator and in some cases the client who is paying the bill speak with me directly. I would like to have some background about the event, the music that is preferred, the age group, if there is going to be any announcement made and whether or not I will be making them or a designated host. I like to have fun and nothing more gives me such pleasure introducing, new music, the music that is expected, people dancing, and taking out there phones to use the Shazam app that helps indentify what they are hearing. I'm not comfortable with music that has foul language but if that is what the client wants that's the what client gets. In the end I play music that appeals to everybody and their discovery hearing great music.

Do you remember the first time you heard a song that pulled you in and left you a lasting memory?
I remember hearing "Strangers in the Night" by Frank Sinatra at a very young age and the memory lingers on. My passion in the arts is music and film. An event is like a film that needs the right soundtrack to make it festive, successful and a memorable experience. Covering every decade, genre and the discovery of new songs. It is my job as a DJ to make that happen. I have covered: Weddings, Holiday Events, Small gatherings, Auctions, Street Fairs, Private events and everything else under the sun. My specialty is to provide an eclectic mix of great music for all who attend and the client with a fun and enjoyable experience. I have been a DJ going on ten years and have collected 12,160 spanning every decade in Pop, Rock, Funk, Hip Hop, House, Jazz, Country, Swing, Classical and World music to tie it the all together, in short something for every body.
