Vancouver MC

So I won't flower up this section like I've done in the past. Whenever these columns came up, I would talk about all the fun stuff that I do, and how everyone is gonna... not going to do that to you.
As the mc I am the narrator, the night of creative director and the emotion concierge. My main duty is to convey the message of my client to their guests in the most reasonable way. If its traditional, fun, family or corporate, there isn't a situation that I can't adjust to.

After 17 years in the industry, working first in bars 5 nights a week, hosting music trivia and more, to now hosting high end galas and weddings at these hotels...I just know my way around an event that is very tough to explain...

I can walk into a room filled with 200 people and know within 10 minutes how I'm going to approach the crowd. I read people really well and I'm highly empathic. I beleive it's that personality trait that make me a great professional MC.

I work well with other planners and talent because my main focus on the night is to make sure everything goes smoothly, but also to help others shine. When I was a younger performer, I used to make myself the star. I wanted the spotlight. But as I aged like fine wine, I realized the true value for my client is to make their friends, family, and coworkers the entertainment. Make others the stars of the show and you the star planner.

I've done over 700 events. Emceed over 400 weddings easily. Corporate events and more.

I have a life story that is truly unbelievable. I'm grateful for all the ability to perform, and a natural talent that has literally carried me through life. Everything that has happened, good and bad, has led me to be who I am today.

Being conscious through your journey is a gift for all your hard work. Nothing was ever given to me and I had to fight for every single victory in my life. It feels great to get these wins, making others lives better.

I just like watching people have fun and laughing. You dont always get to do that at a wedding or corporate event.

This career was my destiny. Telling jokes to the class in elementary school.... desk in the hallway lol. Every job I've ever had was a sales job... Talking. It wasn't until the 2008 recession that I decided to become what I am today.

I just love watching people have fun — especially the kids. My high-energy kids’ day parties have become some of my favorite events to host. There’s no better feeling than seeing a room full of kids jumping, dancing, and laughing without a care in the world. You don’t always get that kind of pure joy at a wedding or corporate event — but you sure get it at a Party Pros kids party.

A stage is always great. I do like to engage with the audience and make them a part of the event.

Depending on the engagement level we decide on, there may be a lighting requirement to discuss but it's never been an issue in the past.

I do need to use a wireless mic. I do bring my own mics, speaker and headset just in case I run into audio issues or the client has failed to tell ne about the audio situation at the venue.
