Frostfang is a Stoner Thrash Metal band from Saint Petersburg, Florida. Formed in 2009 at The Rock n' Blues Academy, now the St. Pete Music Factory when brothers, Nick and Lucas Harasz joined forces with Jared Caprio and Jonathan Konja. Originally under the name Megalith but later changed to Frostfang due to several other projects under the same name. In order to sharpen their skills and master the art of performing, Frostfang studied the ways of the masters which came before them. They played small venues around St. Pete as a cover band until 2014 when they released their first full length "Frostfang". Their style fused elements of classic 80's Heavy / Thrash metal with the detuned grooves of modern stoner metal. In 2016 the quartet released "Garage EP" a collection of songs written the past two years and recorded in the garage where the band practices. The band's style shifted away from Thrash and incorporated more elements of Psychedelic and Stoner metal. In July of 2017 the band embarked on their first tour outside of their home state of Florida. They made a short six show run up and back the east coast. In April of 2018 they released a two song EP entitled "Desert Waves / Ivory Gull”. 2019 saw the departure of long time member Jonathan Konja as he journeyed across the country to start a new life and explore the Oregon Trail. Evan Ford stepped in to take his place and keep the bands live performances high and tight.
