The sound of a jazz ensemble for the price of a solo musician!
I don't play the saxophone -- I play MUSIC on the saxophone... Classic jazz standards, swing, ballads, R & B, blues, latin, and pop/contemporary melodies on tenor/soprano saxophone with some vocal arrangements -- mixed with professional backing tracks -- to provide first-class entertainment... Smooth sounds for your next event!

From Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller and Frank Sinatra -- to The Beatles, The Temptations, and Billy Joel -- My saxophone and vocal performances (with high quality backing tracks) blend the Great American Song Book with 60s/70s/80s classics. I'm talking about swing, light jazz, bossa nova, R & B, and soft rock/pop tunes... the songs that inspire toe-tapping and bring back memories.
If you're looking for hard rock, tropical rock, funk, reggae, hip hop, fusion, or similar genres, keep looking... I'm not your performer. But if you want classic melodies that have never gone out of style, you'll probably like my tenor/soprano sax and vocal repertoire (look for "Setlist" on this GigSalad page).
When the gig calls for merely easy listening, tasteful background music... no problem. My music always accents -- and doesn't dominate -- the event. But I can also "kick it up a notch" with more energetic tunes if you want to inspire some dancing.
Flexible booking terms, on-time arrival and setup, professional dress/appearance, easy-going demeanor, comfortable interaction with audience, and top-notch musical performance of classic jazz standards and pop tunes are my hallmarks.
A native of Buffalo, NY, I played clarinet and tenor saxophone through high school. Music then took a back seat during college, law school, and my 20-year career as a USAF officer and attorney. After retiring from the USAF in 2008, I refreshed my jazz chops by performing with several big bands in the St Louis, Missouri metropolitan area, then developed a solo saxophonist repertoire. After relocating to Florida in 2016, I’ve been performing regularly as a soloist for public and private events since then — now averaging 100 gigs per year — and I perform each week in my church's music liturgy as well.
Venue requirements: (1) Easy access to 110v electrical outlet, (2) Flat, level surface area (approx 5 x 6ft) away from foot traffic or other disturbances, and (3) If gig is outdoors, protection from sun/wind/rain/cold.
