For the past decade, Asheville-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Frances Eliza has captured the hearts of audiences across the Southern East Coast. Having studied jazz, pop, classical, contemporary and folk styles, Frances tries to tailor every performance to the crowds musical interests, by performing a unique mix of medleys, mashups and original songs, making every performance feel one-of-a-kind. She has performed in both large and small music venues, at weddings, birthday parties, fundraisers and more! Frances draws inspiration from musicians like Joni Mitchell, The Cranberries, and Taylor Swift, which has been showcased in the original music she has released over the past six years.

Frances Eliza is an Asheville-based singer-songwriter, guitarist and cover musician who blends her love of songwriting with her passion for jazz, folk, pop and rock music. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Cranberries, Joni Mitchell, and Taylor Swift, Frances’ music weaves the emotive storytelling of folk with distinctive, unforgettable melodies. Over the past decade, she has captured the hearts of audiences across the Southern East Coast. Frances plays solo sets regularly at local and regional breweries, coffee houses, vineyards and wineries, and has been featured as a lead jazz vocalist with various well acclaimed Asheville jazz musicians. In recent years, Frances, has been performing her new and old material at various regional venues both solo and with her band.
Frances Eliza is not only known for performing her original music but also for her unique renditions of cover songs. With an extensive and diverse repertoire, she creates interesting arrangements that often include unexpected mashups and medleys, putting a fresh spin on familiar favorites. Over the past couple of years, Frances has brought her distinctive sound to a variety of private events, including birthday parties, fundraisers, artisan markets, wedding ceremonies and cocktails hours, and more.
Frances graduated from the University of North Carolina of Asheville in the Spring of 2022 with a BFA in Jazz and Contemporary Music. While in studying music in university, her vocal timbre and her unique melodies first came to life in her debut EP Sleepwalking, released in late 2019 (currently only available on Bandcamp). Her second EP No Longer Mine infuses jazz elements and original melodies into the raw imagery of human connection, hope, and loss. Jammerzine Magazine says “Frances Eliza’s second EP, No Longer Mine is a deeply personal collection of songs that blends folk, jazz, and indie influences into something distinct and unique. With lyrics that are raw and intimate, Frances is a storyteller that invites the listener into her private life as she shares and explores experiences of love, loss, and pain in the hopes that sharing in these experiences will bring some measure of comfort to those listeners.”
In 2025, Frances Eliza performed at over a hundred venues throughout the Southern East Coast. She has continued to perform every weekend in 2026, and is available to hire for private or public events as either a solo artist, or in a duo/trio format. She is also happy to learn new songs/music for events!

I am easy going and willing to play/accommodate my stage set up to each select venue. I try to keep my personal set-up as simple as possible to help make each performance setup/tear down smooth and easy - but I'm also happy to utilize whatever other equipment is offered if that makes more sense for the specific event. My main ask is just that there be an outlet/power source for me to plug into. But even if that's not possible, I'm willing to play unplugged for a more intimate set!
