Overview

Based in Cleveland County NC, the home of Earl Scruggs, F3 is a progressive bluegrass trio that plays everything from Bill Monroe to the Beatles to Chick Corea. Featuring Tommy Brooks on mandolin and vocals, Derek McCoy on guitar/vocals and Phil Simmons on bass. We sometimes add banjo or fiddle as well, pulling from a wide variety of players in the community of Cleveland County and Western North Carolina.
