What to expect

Jim Davidson is a self-contained performer and brings his own professional sound gear and can also provide his own sound engineer if the venue is large enough. His repetoire includes hundreds of songs that span folk, country, bluegrass and Americana. Whether the venue needs a 30-minute performance or a 5-hour performance, Jim can provide either.

About

Jim Davidson's guitar style is Fingerpickin' Good!(TM) and along with his smooth baritone voice lays down meaningful renditions of the works of Willie Nelson, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Johnny Cash and many, many others. Jim has been performing for over 50 years, including opening for ZZ Top the first night they played under that name at the Port Arthur, TX Knights of Columbus Hall in February of 1970.

He has also opened for The Wailers, the L'il Smokies, the Fretliners and Floodgate Operators with his traditional acoustic bluegrass band, the Black Canyon Ramblers.
